Rainy Lake runs the Minnesota-Ontario border -- smallmouth country, big-shoulder country. This is the everyday hat for the days you're chasing them. White Richardson 168 snapback flat-bill, buckskin leatherette patch laser-etched in our shop. One size, plastic snap closure. The patch is permanently bonded -- machine wash it, wear it hard, it won't peel or fade. If it ever does, we replace it.

The material
What's leatherette?
Leatherette is a coated synthetic fabric that looks and feels like leather but takes a CO2 laser clean. We use it because we laser-etch every patch in our shop in International Falls -- the etched line is part of the material, so it can't peel, crack, or wash off the way embroidery thread or screen-printed ink eventually does.
The patch is heat-bonded to the hat with a state-of-the-art adhesive -- once it's on, the only way to get it off is to rip the fabric from the hat. If the patch ever does fail, we replace it. No questions.

- Tracking emailed the day it leaves the shop.
- Retail hats can be returned within 30 days if unworn and in original condition.
- Defects or transit damage -- email jordan@lidmasters.com with photos within 14 days. We'll fix it.
- The patch is covered for the life of the hat. If it ever peels, fades, or fails, we replace it. No questions.

Questions
Will the patch peel or fade?
No. The leatherette is laser-etched, not printed -- the design is the material. It'll wear in with the rest of the hat, not wear off. If it ever does fail, we replace the hat.
Can I wash it?
Yes. The patch handles water, agitation, and detergent fine. Machine wash, air dry. The bond is permanent -- the only way to remove the patch is to rip the fabric from the hat.
One size really fit?
Adult heads, 21 to 23 inches. The plastic snapback has eight adjustment steps. If you're outside that range or unsure, email us before ordering and we'll help you find a fit.
Where do you ship from?
International Falls, Minnesota. Most US orders arrive in 3-5 business days from the ship date.
How is this different from an embroidered hat?
Embroidery is thread sewn onto fabric -- it fades, frays, and eventually wears off. Leatherette patches are a coated synthetic cut and etched with a CO2 laser, then heat-bonded to the hat with a state-of-the-art adhesive so they don't peel. Different process, different finish, different durability.
