Privacy Policy

LiDMasters LLC ("LiDMasters", "we", "us") operates lidmasters.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We sell custom leatherette-patch trucker hats and a small line of retail hats; this policy applies to all customers, account holders, and visitors.
Information we collect
- Account info: name, email, password hash. Created when you sign up or place your first order.
- Order info: billing and shipping address, items ordered, design and color selections, order history, and any artwork files you upload.
- Payment info: payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number, expiration, or CVV. We retain a non-sensitive Stripe ID, the last four digits of your card, and the amount charged so we can match payments to orders.
- Communications: emails you send us, support tickets, and our replies.
- Cookies and device info:session cookies for cart and login, plus basic server logs (IP address, browser, page visited) used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. When advertising is active, we also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which sets cookies to measure conversions and build remarketing audiences for ads we run on Meta platforms. Some of this information -- such as your IP address and a hashed (scrambled) version of your email and order details -- is also sent directly from our servers to Meta through its Conversions API to measure ad performance. You can opt out of Meta's interest-based ads in your Meta account settings.
How we use it
- Process and fulfill orders, including production, shipping, and proof approval.
- Send transactional emails (order confirmation, artwork proof, shipping, refunds).
- Send occasional product or restock emails if you opt in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Provide customer support.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and chargebacks.
- Meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.
Who we share with
We share the minimum information needed with the following service providers:
- Stripe -- payment processing.
- Postmark -- transactional and marketing email delivery.
- Meta (Facebook) -- when advertising is active, pixel events (page views, product views, add-to-cart, initiate-checkout, purchase, lead) for ad measurement and remarketing. No payment card data is sent.
- Supabase -- database, authentication, and file storage hosting.
- Vercel -- website hosting.
- S&S Activewear -- hat catalog and stock data for our custom builder.
- Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, etc.) -- delivery of physical orders.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
Data retention
We keep order records for at least seven years to comply with US tax and accounting rules. Account information is retained while your account is active. Artwork files you upload are retained for the life of the order plus a reasonable period afterward in case of reorders or warranty claims; you may request deletion at any time.
Your choices
- You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- You can request that we correct or delete that information, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
- You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any marketing email or by emailing us.

Security
We use HTTPS site-wide, hashed passwords, encrypted database storage at rest, and scoped service credentials. No system is perfectly secure -- if we ever experience a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
Children
LiDMasters is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
