The Birchdale Music Fest
A day of live music under the big tent at the Birchdale Community Building on Highway 11: The Little Roy and Lizzy Show, Sloughgrass, MorningBird, and Roma Ransom with Maria Lewis. Music from 11 AM into the night, rain or shine.
It's a homecoming. Little Roy and Lizzy's bassist is Birchdale's own Holger Olesen, Roma Ransom is led by a Birchdale native with another on bass, and Sloughgrass has been the hometown band for over twenty years.
"Small communities do not often get the chance to host this much musical talent in one place... Many of them started right here in Birchdale and are now coming home to share their music."Soren Olesen, in the Rainy Lake Gazette
